Last evening we signed a contract to purchase a new E-ONE Fire Trucks (Official Site) Typhoon Engine. We would like to thank Hallam Borough and Hellam Township for their continued trust and support, local residents and businesses for donations received year after year making this purchase possible, Fire Line Equipment and their sales staff for the proposal work and upcoming work during the build process, and the members of the Engine Replacement Committee who committed hundreds of hours to specify and purchase the best equipment for the needs of the department and community. The Engine is due to arrive in October 2021.

Stations 21 and 41 were dispatched for an MVA with fire on Route 30 EB in Hellam Township. Engine 21-1 arrived to find no fire but only light front end damage with fluids leaking. I literally caught the tail end of this accident, seeing sparks fly from the truck as it came to rest I couldn't believe the gentleman in the car walked away from this... Initially he was unconscious and I feared the worst... All I can say is Thank God everyone was aliveπŸ™β€οΈ
