HTPD is seeking information from passing motorists on Route 30 between the Wrightsville and Columbia exits from last night, May 12 around 9:30pm.On May 12, 2020 around 9:30pm, Hellam Township Police was dispatched to a person struck along Route 30. The incident occurred between the Wrightsville Exit and the Wrights Ferry Bridge.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a pedestrian that was walking along Route 30 in an area not meant for foot traffic and was struck by a passing motorist. The pedestrian was killed in the collision.
The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
